As we all head back to work. Business as usual then.
I wonder about the missed opportunities and lessons learned because of the enforced changes in the way we worked and lived and wondered if the if there wasn't a better way to live and work. I keep coming back to the idea of business "villages" or hubs on the outskirts of our cities or situated in the suburban area's rather than centralised CBD's.
Imagine the money saved on not having to upgrade so many roads into the city centres, riding to work or a short walk. Money spent on lunches and services would stay in the local communities. I know this stacks up from a financial point of view and certainly from a life-style / work balance view. Requires a change in thinking though from Councils, Designers and Developers.
